Chinese immigrant children’s academic achievements have crushed local students, and Australians are convinced!

A global study shows that children of Australian immigrants outperform other children born in Australia. Because of their higher goals, they will work harder in school.

According to the “Daily Telegraph” report, immigrant children living in Australia are more eager to go to college than children born in Australia, and even 16% higher than Local’s children.

The World Economic Cooperation Organization (OECD) survey of the education of immigrant students in several countries shows that Australia’s immigration results are ranked seventh in 64 countries and regions.

Among them, children of first- and second-generation immigrants pay more attention to achieving good results in school and are more motivated.

The report mentioned: “In school and in life, one of the most important factors for success is the motivation to achieve the goal. In most cases, people who are naturally less talented but who strive harder the day after tomorrow are more talented than those who are talented but not hard enough. It may succeed.”

The report also stated that parents’ expectations, encouragement and support have a positive impact on the students’ future achievements. The level of parental culture and education prior to immigration is closely related to student performance.

Peter Wade is the principal of a school in Sydney. The school is ethnically diverse and has immigrant students from 38 different countries.

He said: “The parents of many immigrant students have overseas backgrounds with high academic qualifications. They will very much encourage their children and let them find their own direction.”

Emma Campbell, CEO of the Australian Ethnic Communities Federation, said that this reflects the positive impact of immigration on Australian society. “This is the contribution that immigration brings to Australia. Their contribution is also shown in all aspects, in our social and economical field.”
