Melbourne will add tram routes to connect Monash University and Chadstone Shopping Centre!

The students at Monash University are blessed with Sky Rail, which eases traffic jams.

And the Victorian government has confirmed that it will allocate 3 million Australian dollars in the 2018/19 budget to plan a new tram route in Melbourne’s southeastern area, passing through the Clayton campus at Monash University and the largest Chadstone shopping center in the southern hemisphere.

The route is 18 kilometers long and runs from nearby Caulfield station, along Dandenong Road and Princes Highway.

The governor said that this is not a feasibility study. The new tram route is sure to be built. Now it is only the planning and design of specific sites.

In addition, in order to ease the traffic congestion in the morning and evening peaks, the Victorian government will spend 60 million Australian dollars to add 2,000 parking spaces to four railway stations in Melbourne.

among them,
Belgrave Station will add 470 parking spaces;
Epping Station will add 74 parking spaces;
Craigburn Station will add 745 parking spaces;
Sandown Park Station will add 545 parking spaces (including upgrades to existing parking spaces).

The governor said, “When you drove to the train station in the morning and found that there was no parking space, it was really hot.”

“We hope to increase parking spaces to allow more people to travel by train, reduce traffic on the road and relieve congestion.”

In other words, if everyone goes to work after school, there will be more choices.

In addition to the addition of parking spaces, the government will also upgrade the monitoring, lighting, and bicycle storage facilities at these train stations.

It seems that as the population grows, the construction of Melbourne Municipality cannot be delayed. It is this efficiency… It cannot keep up with the speed of population growth. It needs to be strengthened.
